Data.003 Update up to 2018-08-09: https://drive.google.com/open? id=1j Vwfl KOw2Vw Wf PRKkm Ue_b8hi Ap_a Ce U This is using High efficient compression to keep the otherwise 900 MB exe?I understand the concern but there is no trustworthy (zip? Without some kind of huge dictionary size or file deduplication, there is no way to span over all the 4GB of data to optimize the compression. This time around, director Yoji Fujito and producer Akihiko Matsui took to You Tube to share a short video to highlight what’s new.
Also, thanks Shinobi and Chef James with your help and creating new custom icons!
Thanks to Kenshi for allowing me to include his Master UI in the project.
--== Version ==-- I'd like to keep this called XI View, because most everyone from the windower community knows it as that.
With that, I will start it as XI View 2.0 --== DESCRIPTION ==-- XI View 2.0 is the continued work on the project to update FFXIs GUI to look cleaner and for status icons to be easier to understand at a glance, this was formerly known as Brandson's UI, FFXI Style or XI View from Darkshade.
7-zip can get it down to just below 1GB but still not a format everybody can decompress. The compression tool can be found here https://encode.ru/threads/2829-RAZOR-strong-LZ-based-archiver That way you can decompress the file without running it. I am not sure what the question is about the 900mb size, so I can't give an answer to that It's not sure that people have 7-zip though.
nature is due to most ppl probably not have every kind of decompression tool in their library and make it easier as it gives a default install path as well (same at ffxi default path). 7-zip can do but ist still limited to the 32kb Dictionary size otherwise it would not be compatible with any other zip program. ) parsing in 7-zip does make a bit smaller file than most, but ist still not able to find redundancy outside of the 32kb window. But it's against the purpose to increase the download time to nearly twice, it simply not optimal. Put it in a more trustworthy format, there's not an easy way to scan something that size and there's absolutely no reason it needs to be an exe instead of whatever compression you're actually using. If they have used 7-zip for the real install files I would have been able to update them easily Indeed. It's been awhile since I've done a fresh install but it's worth to note for people that the only things they need to have checked are "Playonline" and "Final Fantasy XI" the rest of the things install with the updates. They always update things like this on "dying" games.I provided a link for the compression/decompression tool earlier, If someone wanted to decompress without running the file. It's been awhile since I've done a fresh install but it's worth to note for people that the only things they need to have checked are "Playonline" and "Final Fantasy XI" the rest of the things install with the updates. Just teasing those that claim this game is dying all the time.Anyone that has played Final Fantasy XI recently, or even ever, can attest that installing the game is not only a pain in the butt as it can take hours to install. It’s not uncommon to leave your computer on overnight and still see it going when you wake up in the morning.Kactuar, for fixing the Icon changer program to accept the new 32x32 Icons.
